Sarah J. Marks is a founder of The Executive Source. Before becoming a search consultant, she built a distinguished career in recruiting, marketing and executive management. She was an Executive Vice President at SunAmerica in New York, where she established and directed a diversified marketing department serving a national broker dealer sales force. Previously, as Director of Business Development, she developed and implemented a dynamic recruiting strategy that doubled the size of the firm’s sales force. Sarah has also held senior staffing positions with PaineWebber, Citicorp and Merrill Lynch. In each of these positions, her ability to think strategically and implement dynamically led to quantifiable improvements in the number and quality of new hires. In addition to her recruiting expertise, she has broad, hands-on experience in training, marketing and corporate strategy development.

Michael A. Brown is a Managing Director at The Executive Source and brings significant experience in human resources, staffing, and financial services to the firm. Prior to his career in executive search, Mike worked in senior human resources roles for over 20 years in the wealth management arena. He was Managing Director, Financial Consultant Recruiting at Merrill Lynch where he managed a national team focused on improvements in new hire performance and retention. Mike also worked as Vice President, U.S. Private Client Human Resources and Vice President, Global Staffing while at Merrill Lynch. At Charles Schwab, he reorganized and led the recruiting team which contributed directly to effective growth in both the private client and institutional businesses. Mike’s comprehensive background in recruiting, employee relations, compensation, organizational effectiveness and Six Sigma gives him a unique and practical perspective on the human resources function and the financial services industry.

Ricard PlaRichard C. Plazza is a founder of The Executive Source and has 20 years of experience in all aspects of human resources. He’s held senior positions in executive recruitment, management development and administration, and has successfully led several corporations’ re-engineering efforts. In addition to his expertise in HR and executive development, Mr. Plazza gained specific knowledge of the financial services industry during his employment with Chase Manhattan Bank, Nomura Securities International and PaineWebber. Prior to working in financial services, he was an educator and administrator for over 10 years.
